Though I officially moved to Windsor Heights in 2013, I've been around Windsor Heights since the 1980s! I grew up just outside city limits, attending Art in the Park at the old Colby Park shelter, enjoying snow cones from the Lions Club during Music in the Park, and chasing candy at the Fourth of July Parade. I'm a Dowling graduate and spent time at both DMACC and Drake before starting my career in corporate training and Human Resources. In 2011, I launched my photography business, which led to opening a studio in Windsor Heights from 2016 to 2024.
When I began house hunting in 2012, Windsor Heights was at the top of my list. I dreamed of finding a brick ranch with quick access to I-235, and my realtor showed me a diamond in the rough—a Colby brick with potential. By April 2013, I proudly became a Windsor Heights resident.
My deeper involvement with city government began in 2018, when I stepped up to organize the Fourth of July Parade; an event on the brink of cancellation. After attending council meetings to provide updates, I saw firsthand how local government decisions impact our daily lives. That experience inspired me to get more involved, support council candidates in 2019, and volunteer even more through the Chamber of Commerce. By 2021, I was ready to take the next step and run for City Council.
Over the past four years, our council has worked hard to balance the needs and priorities of our community while staying fiscally responsible. In a small city like ours without a Parks and Recreation Department, community events are powered by volunteers and the tireless efforts of city staff across Public Works, Public Safety, and City Hall. I’m proud to have contributed to these efforts and eager to continue serving Windsor Heights through hard work and collaboration.
Thank you for the opportunity to represent our city. I would be honored to earn your vote again this November.
